Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument

40 miles on a dirt road through the monument. Amazing scenery, colors, and rock formations.

First we were on the road to nowhere (and in the middle of nowhere- yes, Dad it was the middle)

Then we took our big red rocket ship to Mars.

Then we went to the Egyptian desert and saw the pyramid.

If you are following us on the map... Highway 12 east out of Bryce past Tropic. We turned south in Cannonville and took the dirt road past Grosvner arch to highway 89.
